| The mission of the Fairfield County Visitation Center is to provide supervised visitation and monitored exchanges to adults and children who have been affected by domestic violence. Through provision of a safe, secure, comfortable environment, our focus is to promote family engagement and safe, healthy, meaningful adult/child relationships through a variety of services.
Supervised Visitation
Supervised visitation is the provision and maintenance of a safe, comfortable setting in which the contact between child(ren) and adult (usually a parent) can be monitored by trained visitation staff. The goal is to protect the rights of children and keep victims of domestic violence safe.
Monitored Exchanges
Monitored exchanges are for parents who are not required to have supervision while visiting their children but need to be able to make an exchange without interaction with the other parent. The exchanges are monitored by a visitation staff person. |
