| The mission of Child Advocacy Services of the Big Horns is to work with volunteers, families and the community to advocate for and support safe, nurturing and permanent homes.
The Family Visitation program offers several services. Supervised visitation is a way for non-custodial parents to spend time with their child in the presence of a neutral observer.
Monitored visitation is another service that offers less structure and more privacy for parents and children. Anyone can apply for this service: parents who have been court ordered to have supervised visits; parents who have a court order governing contact with each other or the children; perhaps one parent is just getting to know his or her child, anyone who needs a neutral location for any reason.
We also offer supervised exchanges, with a delay between drop-off and pick-up of children, so the parents need not have contact with each other. These exchanges are helpful when there are concerns about children witnessing conflict between parents. The goal is to provide children with safe, conflict free access to both parents. |
